The precedence diagramming method (PDM) is a technique used to build schedules using logical relationships including the concepts of predecessors and successors. PDM includes four types of relationships:
- Finish-to-start (FS)
- Finish-to-finish (FF)
- Start-to-start (SS)
- Start-to-finish (SF)
You will also learn about how activities can lead or lag with respect to a predecessor or successor.
Estimation methods
You will also learn key methods used to estimate activities including the following techniques:
- Analogous estimating
- Parametric estimating
- Three-point estimating
- Reserve analysis
Scheduling Techniques
Some of the key scheduling techniques that were discussed are:
- Critical Path Method
- Critical Chain Method
- Schedule Crashing
- Schedule Fast Tracking
